Staff Accountant

This position is responsible for preparation or review of various general ledger procedures in various areas, including cash, investments, accounts receivable, accounts payable, long term debt, etc. Responsibilities would entail account analysis, reconciliations, and reporting as well as monitoring of accounting processes and transactions.
Essential Functions of the Position:
• Prepare or review transactions and reconciliations relating to various balance sheet accounts
• Prepare or review endowment fund transactions and register
• Maintain mineral royalty data files
• Reconcile Gift/Grant revenue accounts with Advancement Office records
• Prepare and/or enter journal entries as assigned
• Prepare various subsidiary ledger reconciliations as assigned
• Prepare various year-end audit schedules as assigned
• Provide support for cash receipting process as needed
• Provide support for timecard data entry and payroll processing as needed
• Provide support for review of account statements with students as needed
• Provide support for ID card creation as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
A. Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
• Solid understanding of financial records and systems, particularly for fund accounting.
• Proven abilities with computerized financial systems, preferably Datatel Colleague software.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
• Demonstrated talents in both written and verbal communications.
B. Education
• Bachelor’s degree with preparation in Accounting
C. Related Work Experience
• Financial accounting systems

Clinical Coordinator - PA Program

Physician Assistant Program Director

Overview:
The function of the Program Director is to provide effective leadership to the Physician Assistant Program at Alderson-Broaddus College. The Program Director is responsible for program organization, administration and fiscal management; and will supervise the development, planning, implementation and analysis of a quality program in accordance with ARC-PA accreditation standards and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
· Supervise the medical director, faculty, and staff
· Direct the program’s accreditation process and ongoing self-assessment
· Administer program budget and continuously manage resources
· Advocate for the program within the College and represent the program at professional meetings, medical society meetings, community groups, etc.

· Coordinate and direct curriculum planning, implementation and evaluation, including the availability of remedial instruction

· Recruit and select qualified faculty and staff
· Oversee student advising and evaluation

Qualifications & Credentials:
· If a physician assistant, must be certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), and eligible for licensure in West Virginia as a Physician Assistant.
· If a physician, must hold current licensure as an allopathic or osteopathic physician in West Virginia (unencumbered licensure) and board certified by an ABMS or AOA approved specialty board.
· Clinical experience as a PA, minimum of three years
· Minimum masters degree, doctorate preferred
· Experience in PA education, preferably as program director or associate program director, minimum of three years
· Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
· Knowledge of and prior experience with the PA accreditation process (Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant – ARC-PA)
Scope of Authority:
The program director reports directly to the Chairperson for the Division of Health Sciences, who is granted authority to recommend the hiring of personnel within the guidelines set forth by the President of Alderson-Broaddus College under the direction of the Board of Trustees. The Program Director may also recommend termination or promotion of all personnel under his/her authority in the PA program under the same authority.

Provost/Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs

The Provost/Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs is the chief academic officer of the College. The Provost/Executive Vice President is responsible for the academic program and the work of the faculty. The Provost/Executive Vice President provides leadership in all academic aspects of the institution, while maintaining the quality, accreditation, and integrity of the academic programs. The Provost/Executive Vice President serves as a member of the president’s staff, facilitates and coordinates cross-divisional assignments and activities of college vice-presidents, functions as chief executive officer when the president is absent or when assigned by the president, and is an active participant in budget, strategic planning and policy decisions.

Some of the duties of the Provost/Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs are to: Oversee the faculty governance system, including the committee system; monitor the provision and evaluation of academic advising services; serve on the following college standing committees: Budget, Admissions and Retention, Committee on Committees, Institutional Assessment Committee, and on other committees as appropriate; chair the Academic Program Committee, the Tenure, Promotion, and Sabbatical Leaves Committee, the Gifts and Grants Committee, and the HLC Assessment Academy Team; provide recommendations for faculty and staff hiring, retention, and promotion to the President; lead the recruiting, hiring, and orientation of faculty members; within appropriate processes, evaluate the faculty, render recommendations for improvement, and report such evaluations to the President for action; serve as an advocate of the faculty and students to the President’s Staff, the President, and the Board of Trustees; serve as an advocate of the administration to the faculty and students when appropriate; maintain a vision and tone for academic excellence; support faculty and staff development and secure adequate resources for professional development; respond appropriately to student concerns and complaints; plan, prepare and implement the annual faculty/staff workshop; supervise the following non-instructional areas: registrar, director of learning resources, director of learning and assessment, director of athletics, director of library services, and special academic programs; oversee the preparation of academic budgets for submission to the Budget Committee; monitor the academic budget expenditure levels throughout the year and assure stewardship and positive budget outcomes; monitor faculty work load; recommend compensation for faculty and staff to the President implementing the faculty salary equity plan; maintain the relationship of the college with the Council of Independent Colleges and the Appalachian College Association; work with appropriate personnel to insure continued institutional and program accreditations; provide representation of the institution for off-campus events and programs as assigned by the President; participate in the College’s strategic planning process, and facilitate planning for new academic programs; and, represent the College with appropriate decorum and dignity

Faculty Position - Nursing (Psychiatric/Mental Health)
