Alderson-Broaddus College will singularly commit itself to the success of its students by:
- Providing a nurturing environment that embraces the Christian values of moral integrity, service, trust, justice and compassion. The College affirms its commitment to its historic and continuing place within the Church of Jesus Christ, as it is embodied in the West Virginia Baptist Convention and the American Baptist Churches in the US.
- Measuring institutional effectiveness by specific student outcomes in academic skills and in the lives of our graduates.
- Strengthening and expanding programs in the health sciences, teacher education, music, business, and computer related fields while firmly rooting all of its programs in the liberal arts, maintaining academic excellence, and integrating technology in every aspect of the curriculum.
- Providing essential resources that make it possible for students who are academically underprepared to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve success in the College's academically challenging programs.
