Prospective Music Major Questionnaire/Audition Information Form

All students planning to major in music must be accepted into the department on the basis of an audition.  One audition will suffice for both acceptance and music scholarship.  Music scholarship auditions are separate from "The West Virginians" auditions; both may be scheduled for the same day.

A music faculty member or current A-B piano major will be happy to play piano for your audition.  It is recommended that you send the accompaniment part to the music department by mail several weeks before your audition date.  A warm up/rehearsal time with the accompanist will be arranged prior to your audition.

Near the bottom of the form below, please provide the name, address, and phone number of a person other than a relative who is professionally qualified to comment on your musical talent and achievement.  (For example, high school band/choir director or private instructor).
