PA Alumni Association

Hu C. Myers PA Alumni Association (HCMPAAA)

For several years there has been an effort from the Office of Alumni Relations to engage A-B PA Alumni to their Alma Mater. The A-B Alumni Office has hosted a yearly reception at the West Virginia Association of Physician Assistants Conference, a reception/gathering at the American Academy of Physician Assistants Annual Conference and through other various sponsored events including the College’s Honors Convocation and Commencement activities.

However, these events have not been able to target specific needs of A-B PA Alumni for social networking and professional growth. We have recognized this disconnect and have begun to organize a viable association that A-B PA Alumni can get behind and support.

Glen E. Combs ’73 has written the new Association’s by-laws and has been instrumental in establishing A-B’s Hu C. Myers PA Alumni Association (HCMPAA). He has accepted our request to be the first president of the Association and the first order of business will be to work with A-B’s professional staff to create the infrastructure of the new association relying on appointed Class Representatives and other PA graduate volunteers to establish a leadership circle for future planning purposes.

We envision a meaningful and productive national organization and need your feedback in the form of suggestions and supportive commentary.

Object and Purpose of the HCMPAA shall be:

  1. To provide for the professional growth of its members.
  2. To take an active part in supporting the standards of excellence of the A-B PA Program.
  3. To periodically contribute financial funds to the A-B PA program educational programs.
  4. To serve as a forum for both students and graduates, enhancing both networking activities and college relations.
  5. To support students of the A-B PA Program.
  6. To enhance the image and support of all A-B PA graduates.

If you are interested in getting involved in organizing the new PA Alumni Association please contact, president, Glen Combs.
