Battlers Trounce OVU 92-54

Ohio Valley scored three free throws to start out the game in recent action against Alderson-Broaddus but that was the last time they were in this particular game as A-B went on to a 92-54 win over the Fightin' Scots.

A-B's defense limited OVU to just 4-22 shooting in the first half as they put up an abysmal 17 first half points to A-B's 47.
Sophomore Jamar Board went 4-7 from deep and 3-3 from the free throw line for 15 first half points.

In the second half A-B pushed the lead out to as many as 37 at the 14:51 mark as the game was well out of reach for the Fightin' Scots.

Board lead all scorers with 27 points. Senior Terell Eargle had yet another all around game as he scored ten points, nabbed nine rebounds, five assists, and five steals.

With the victory the Battlers improve to 7-2 overall and 3-1 in conference. They will host Shepherd University Jan. 14 and then will travel to University of Pitt-Johnstown on the 16.

Eargle Named WVIAC Player of the Week for Jan. 4

Senior Terrell Eargle was named the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of January 4, 2010.

The 6-4 guard from Youngstown, Ohio, paced the Battlers in an important 81-72 regional victory at Edinboro (PA) with 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists. He also filled up the stat sheet with five steals and three blocked shots to help the Battlers improve to 3-2 on the season with the win over Edinboro.
