Lady Battlers Defeated by WVWC, Shepherd and UP-J

Lady Pioneers Best Lady Battlers; A-B Grabs Big Win Over Concord

    Mid-January not only marks the resumption of classes, but also the midway point of the Alderson-Broaddus Lady Battlers’ schedule.  However, only one third of their conference schedule is complete, which leaves time for second-year head coach Josh Allen’s squad to continue improving and hopefully reach the WVIAC tournament.

Lady Battlers Fall at Ashland (OH) Classic

The Alderson-Broaddus women’s basketball team traveled to Ashland, Ohio over the holiday weekend for the Ashland University Thanksgiving Classic. 

On Saturday, November 24, the Battlers were entertained by the tournament’s host, the Ashland University Eagles.

Lady Battlers Pick Up First Win

After struggling to find the win column through the first eight games of the season, the Alderson-Broaddus Lady Battlers finally saw their chance to pick up their first victory when Salem International University came to Rex Pyles Arena.  Although only a select few would witness last Saturday’s action, the Lady Battlers weren’t set on just picking up the win; they were going to do it in commanding fashion.

After struggling to hit their rhythm at two early season tournaments, the Alderson-Broaddus Lady Battlers hoped to get on track as they faced the University of the District of Columbia and Concord University.

Lady Battlers Win Last Game of Regular Season; Fall to WVWC

After struggling through a long season, the young Lady Battlers of Alderson-Broaddus hoped to finish the regular season on a positive note.  The squad had an extended break following their game against Glenville State, which gave them extra time to prepare for a pair of rivals, West Virginia Wesleyan College and Davis and Elkins College.
