Campaign Chairpersons'
Message
Alderson-Broaddus
College is literally doing God’s work on the mountain. Our
mission is based on a promise—a promise that focuses on serving
our region by providing a high-quality education, infused with
Christian values. We have a calling to offer an educational experience
that changes lives.
From our vantage point, we see more than 6,000 alumni
who have benefited from their time at Alderson-Broaddus. We see
first generation college students emerge as confident adults with
the potential to make a difference in society. We see highly-skilled
health services professionals graduate to prominent positions.
We see people from Appalachia who find and develop exceptional
leadership qualities. We see proud young men and women who have
learned the value of serving people in their communities.
Alderson-Broaddus is at a crossroads. We must either
choose to renew our promise to future generations of deserving
students by strengthening our academic programs, updating and renovating
key facilities, building our scholarship endowment, and fortifying
our Annual Fund or we must choose to be content with the way things
are.
Today, we launch Renewing the Promise: the Campaign
for Alderson-Broaddus because we believe we must move forward
by recommitting to the goals and dreams our founders set down
over 130 years ago. You can play a significant role in helping
us renew the Alderson-Broaddus promise for future generations.
Please consider our appeal, read our stories, remember the impact
Alderson-Broaddus has had on your life. Then, join us in generously
supporting this vitally important endeavor.
