MEN’S LACROSSE COACH HIRED AT ALDERSON-BRAODDUS COLLEGE FOR NEW PROGRAM
Bob Bennett to coach inaugural season

PHILIPPI, WV - Alderson Broaddus University is pleased to announce the hiring of Bob Bennett as the new men’s lacrosse head coach.  Bennett comes from American University in Washington, D.C. where he served as head coach of the men’s lacrosse club, women’s lacrosse, and goalie coach. 

Bennett has coached at several institutions in addition to American University.  He served at the University of Maryland, Catonsville Community College, Towson Catholic High School, Howard Lacrosse Club, Boston College HS, Acalanes HS, The Claremont Colleges, and St Margarets HS.

Bennett has won an NCAA Division I championship and a California State HS championship. Bennett has also served as the head basketball coach at multiple institutions in Maryland and head lacrosse coach at institutions in California.

Men’s lacrosse is a new sport that Alderson Broaddus is adding to the campus as part of a new academic business model to help leverage growth at the institution.
