Over 200 guests visiting campus Saturday, July 12

PHILIPPI, W.Va. – Alderson Broaddus University will host over 200 guests on Saturday, July 12, for the first-ever Sneak Peek Day. The event takes place from 10 A.M. – 3 P.M.

Students enrolled at ABU for Fall 2014 will get a “sneak peek” of campus before they move-in later next month. Students will be able to see their dorm room, measure for carpet, see loft kits, meet their roommate, and make new friends.

“We’re really excited to welcome members of the class of 2018 and their families to campus this weekend,” said Erika Thon, assistant director of admissions. “The tone of the day will be laid back, creating a fun atmosphere for our new Battlers. They can walk around campus, see classrooms, and enjoy lunch provided by the University in the dining hall. It’s a great way for students to, as we like to say, ‘Prepare for Battle’, and get excited before moving in this fall.”

Administrative offices will be open throughout the day for students to ask any reaming questions or turn in any missing documents. Guests can also swing by the bookstore and stock up on ABU gear.

Alderson Broaddus University has recently experienced unprecedented growth due to the success of the new Strategic Plan, under President Richard Creehan. In the past three years, AB has gained university status; doubled enrollment which now sits at over 1,100 students; constructed a state-of-the-art multi-sport performance stadium and four residential halls; and added over a dozen new athletic programs, making ABU the largest collegiate athletic department in the state of West Virginia.
