Betsy McComas Honored as February Employee of the Month

Elizabeth “Betsy” McComas, assistant professor of business, was honored as the February Employee of the Month at Alderson-Broaddus College.

“Mrs. McComas is a great teacher who takes a subject like accounting and makes it fun,” said the student who nominated McComas.

Employed at A-B College since 1989, McComas is an alumna of A-B College. She also holds an M.B.A. from West Virginia Wesleyan College, is a Certified Public Accountant, and a Certified Management Accountant. Prior to coming to A-B College, she worked for state and local governments as an auditor and administrator.

She resides in Philippi with her husband, James, and their three dogs.

The Alderson-Broaddus College Employee of the Month Program was an idea generated by a group of faculty, staff, and students to improve campus morale and recognize individual employees for the special devotion to Alderson-Broaddus College.
