The beginning of Spring Semester 2011 has several new faces in various positions at Alderson Broaddus University. Those new to AB University within the past several months include:
Diana Crickard began as the Vice President of Business and Finance in October 2010. Crickard earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting/business administration from Mountain State University and an MBA from University of Phoenix with a specialty in Health Care Management. She spent the previous ten years as a corporate accountant and administrator. Prior to that, she was controller for a company in the coal industry for almost ten years.
Heather Henderson began in October 2010 as the Director of Student Learning Assessment and Accreditation. She will also serve as the HLC (Higher Learning Commissions) Accreditation Liaison Officer. Henderson is a doctoral student and graduate of West Virginia University and most recently worked in higher education at South Piedmont Community College as Chair of Developmental Education and Academic Support Services as well as Interim Chair of General Studies.
Jamie Hicks is a new Admissions Counselor in the Office of Admission. She began in January 2011. Hicks is a graduate of Davis & Elkins College and most recently worked as an outreach coordinator for Home Base, Inc. in Elkins.
Chad Hostetler began in October 2010 as the Director of Personal and Career Counseling. Hostetler holds a Master of Arts in Counseling degree from Eastern Mennonite University. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and most recently worked as a therapist for the Barbour County Health Department- Circle of Caring in Philippi, WV.
Esther Kinnison is a new Financial Aid Counselor in the Financial Aid Office. A graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College, she recently worked in Elkins as an office billing clerk. She began at AB University in January.
Byron Sayres is the new Director of IT Services. Sayres attended International Academy of Design and Technology and served recently as an Automation Specialist for the US District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia. He began working at AB University in November 2010.
Jeff Moyer is new to the IT Department. Moyer, a 2002 graduate of International Academy of Design and Technology will serve AB University as Systems Administrator. He began his duties in November 2010. He most recently worked as an A/V and IT Technician for Custom Stereo Creations in Parkersburg, WV.
Carol Weaver, an AB alumna, is also new to the IT Department. Weaver will also serve as System Administrator. She recently served as Assistant Director of Financial Aid at AB University.
